Jennets
Our jennets are selected for their conformation, personality, size and color. They are halter trained and loved on extensively. Visitors unfamiliar with Miniature Donkeys are always surprised at just how friendly they are. We start their breeding career after the age of 3 and do not usually bred again until their foal is weaned. This allows us to rotate our jennets so we have some foals in spring and fall. Gestation is 11-13 months, and foals are not weaned before the age of 5 months. Our donkeys have pedigrees that trace back to the original imports from Sardinia and Sicily. We are very proud of our breeding program.

DTA Little Bitta Smokin Ice (Barn name is Bandit)
is a very dark brown spotted jack. He's put some beautiful black, spotted, red and brown foals on the ground. He has a nice pedigree which compliments our jennets. Bandit is full of personality and loves people. We're thrilled to have him here. He is much darker than the picture here shows. Bandit has a beautiful head and perfect bite with nice conformation and personality.
